They have two children aged 2, 5 and an older child. They are based in a  beautiful area  in Nottinghamshire. You’ll be working alongside other household staff, including a housekeeper and a gardener.

Job Description 
This is a live-in role with lovely private accommodation provided. Your main focus will be caring for the two younger children, while also supporting the older child with their routine and homework as needed.
Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Following and adapting daily routines as the children grow
  • Creating a safe, happy and nurturing environment
  • Organising fun activities and playdates
  • Helping with hygiene routines
  • Scheduling and attending appointments (medical, educational, etc.)
  • Liaising with teachers and childcare professionals
  • Supporting the children’s nutrition and preparing some meals
  • Light housekeeping and nursery duties
  • Assisting with homework (particularly Years 7–9 level)

This family does travel, so you’ll need to be open to joining them on trips around the UK and abroad
When the family is in residence, flexibility is key — including some weekend work (with time off given in return).

Candidate Requirements
 
The ideal candidate will be:

  • Warm, professional and looking to commit long-term
  • Experienced with children of different ages, especially toddlers and early teens
  • Confident in speaking English, with excellent communication skills
  • Knowledgeable about early years development and education
  • Comfortable helping with schoolwork (especially KS3 level)
  • Proactive, flexible and team-oriented
  • A good cook with an interest in children’s nutrition
  • Open to travel and confident managing children on the go
  • A driver is a bonus, but not essential

Strong references and a great work history are a must.
 

Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary

  • Schedule: 5 days per week (Monday to Friday), mainly covering mornings and evenings with breaks during the day; weekend flexibility needed when the family is home
  • Hours: Around 55 hours per week
  • Accommodation: Private, semi self-contained living space within the estate
  • Travel: Yes – UK and international travel included
  • Salary: £700–£900 gross per week (more for the right candidate)
  • Start: As soon as possible, or happy to wait for the right fit
