Live in or out- Mothers help/Housekeeper- Mon-Fri £30-40k- Depending on experience

Family Description and Location:

A warm and friendly family are keen to find a loving, kind, and helpful Mothers help/ Housekeeper who is flexible and versatile who can provide practical support to a busy family with both childcare and household tasks. The role will entail helping Mum to juggle the children's needs, two key stage 1 children, both attend a school and a toddler at home, along with keeping them busy and active with local outings when required. Housekeeping duties will include helping to keep the home tidy, food shopping and cooking for the children, laundry and light cleaning. The family home is a large three-story residence within walking distance to amenities and a short drive to a local station with direct trains to central London. The family have a small dog that has a gentle character. 

Job Description 

• Housekeeping: Light cleaning (and overseeing cleaners), laundry, meal preparation and tidying and running light errands  
• Childcare: Assisting with tasks like feeding, bathing, playing with and supervising children where needed
• Support: Working alongside Mum to help manage daily household tasks and childcare responsibilities 
• Following routine and encouraging good manners and learning and assisting Mum where required
• Healthy food preparation and batch cooking and grocery shopping for the children
• Keeping children's bedrooms, bathrooms, and playrooms tidy and organised and assisting with child wardrobe management
• Local activities with the children and keeping them busy with activities
• Household errands and school runs (walkable) 
• Some sole charge but mostly shared care duties 

Candidate Requirements 

This lovely family are looking for a kind, happy and positive childcare confident Mothers help/ housekeeper with excellent references. Although this position is shared care with Mum there will be times when the new Mothers help will be alone with one, two and on occasion three of the children, so someone who is energetic, loving and calm when managing young children will be essential to this role. They are busy fun-loving children with no special requirements. They love music, sports, playing outside, books, art and crafts. The family live a walkable distance to the school/nursery, shops etc so a driver is not essential but would be useful. This is a long-term position. 
 
Days of Work, Accommodation and Salary 

• Monday to Friday 
• 7.30am to 6pm – breaks during the day
• Can be live in or out 
• Accommodation - separate wing with nice double bedroom and private bathroom.  
• Occasional weekend or evenings paid overtime. 
• £30-40K salary - DOE with tax and NI paid and a contract?
• Start date- January 2026 - the family will wait for the right person
